About Me
I am a teaching assistant at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Universidad Nacional del Sur, Argentina.
I have always been interested in researching, which I officially started in 2014 with a student scholarship. I've been part of the VyGLab (Research Laboratory in Visualization and Computer Graphics) since that moment.
I obtained my Master's degree in Computer Science at Universidad Nacional del Sur in 2018 under the supervision of Dr. Martín Larrea. In my magister thesis, entitled "Human-Computer Interaction in Virtual Environments", I made an exhaustive compilation of the state of the art and an analysis regarding all the ways in which human beings interact with the Virtual Reality through their senses.
I obtained my PhD's degree in Computer Science at the Universidad Nacional del Sur in 2021 under the supervision of Dr. Silvia Castro and Dr. Martín Larrea. In my doctoral thesis, I found a metric that quantifies the degree of immersion provided by Virtual Reality systems and applications.
My research interests include Human-Computer Interaction, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality. More specifically, I research about all those features of the human and Virtual Reality systems that allow users to feel more immersed in the virtual world. Much of my work focuses on low-cost systems, that is, those that use mobile devices for their operation. Thus, we can bring these immersive technologies to the common public.
